Spaces is expanding in Singapore with a stunning new Art Deco workplace for businesses in the Joo Chiat area. Vibrant, multicultural and brimming with colourful heritage architecture, Singapore’s Joo Chiat area charms the pants off expats and tourists alike. And now the creative quarter will gain a Spaces co-working hub.

Spaces will open its seventh Singapore location in Joo Chiat next year, offering members both rich history and handy transport links moments from their workspace.

“Joo Chiat retains its uniqueness, with traditional shophouses and a feel of old Singapore. It has a wealth of history, and sits within the East Coast region, which is a major commuter area for the city’s businesspeople,” says Nigel Barnes, vice president of development in Asia Pacific for IWG, Spaces’ parent company.

The new Spaces at Joo Chiat will fill all three floors of an Art Deco-style building at 292 Joo Chiat Road. Oozing with character, the venue will appeal to entrepreneurs and businesses seeking a creative, design-led atmosphere. Spaces wants to provide a collaborative hub, integrated into the local surroundings, where members can meet and brainstorm together.

“The location enjoys a 30m street frontage with easy access, which will make the business club a visible feature of the property and present an inviting shop front – ‘the place’ for people to meet and work.”

The unique features of the property, the beautifully crafted interiors and the inspiring Joo Chiat environment will be a glove fit for people in the creative industries, architecture, marketing, PR and others, who are seeking an exciting, inspirational place to work and meet. Even beter, this location will include a rooftop deck and balconies where members can sit and soak up the buzz from the streets below. Spaces at Joo Chiat will also be ideal for those who want to make the most of East Coast’s outdoor lifestyle. The new to open Spaces will offer showers and bike racks for people who plan to run or bike to and from work, to fit well with the East Coast area, which is renowned for its lifestyle balance.

Next month, Spaces will launch another location in Singapore’s East Coast area. Offering a completely different vibe from the Joo Chiat venue, this Spaces workspace will open up in Lendlease’s new mixed-use development at the Paya Lebar MRT Interchange.

“The closest commercial hub to the Central Business District, Paya Lebar is also located in the East Coast, but delivers a strong corporate working environment, which will offer Spaces customers fantastic choice in the East Coast area of Singapore,” says Barnes.

Spaces also has Singapore locations in Robinson Road, Clarke Quay, City Hall and Somerset, with another location coming to One Raffles Place this year.
