Coworking in Dallas-Forth Worth is well and truly kicking off. The Texan metropolis is experiencing a massive influx in flexible workspace (flexspace), as the tenacity of its fledgling business scene refuses to let up. And, ever on-the-pulse when a flexible working scene is about to explode, Spaces is adding four new Dallas Forth-Worth locations over the next six months.
We’re stepping up to the plate
Home to more than 20 Fortune 500 companies and 50 or so colleges and universities overflowing with talent, Dallas Forth-Worth is now teaming with startups and innovative new companies. These go-getting enterprises are popping up in all corners of the city. They want to streamline the workspace they use, keep their costs down and keep their lease terms flexible. And they want their office space in Dallas to look darn good, too. So, naturally, Spaces has stepped up to the plate.
Spaces is adding a whopping 173,395 square feet of inspiring agile working space – designed with Dallas’s creative entrepreneurs and fledgling businesses in mind – to the city by the end of 2019. Up first is Spaces Legacy Central in East Plano. The following three Spaces will open up at the Shops at Legacy, West Plano Village in Plano and The Epic in Deep Ellum.
Meeting the Dallas demand
Commercial real-estate firm CBRE says Dallas is the seventh-biggest flexspace market in the USA. “We’re seeing a big demand for the perfect blend of edgy, cool and professional environment that Spaces offers,” says Baron Aldrine, Executive Vice President at CBRE. “As Spaces continues to expand its footprint with coworking spaces in Dallas-Fort Worth, these locations are a natural step as so many corporate headquarters are located in the DFW area.”
There are already Spaces locations in different areas of the Texan metropolis, including Uptown Dallas and the suburb of Southlake. Once a member of one of these Spaces communities, people can drop in and use any of the brand’s locations worldwide. But Spaces wants to offer even more options for Dallas-based members, in different parts of the vast city – including the northern suburb of Plano – so that more entrepreneurs can cut down their commuting time and work close to where they actually live.
“It’s a dynamic, vibrant city with very distinct submarkets,” says Michael Berretta, Vice President of Network Development for IWG. “We are building an extensive network of locations across these submarkets to ensure our members have easily accessible locations close to home or to their clients.”
“We want to make sure there are multiple locations outside of just the Dallas urban core, so people can come in and get their work done without having to worry about a long commute.”
