Another month, another slate of brand-spanking new Spaces set to open their doors in some of the most vibrant neighbourhoods and exciting cities around the world. From Prague to Penang, we’ve got you covered – and all you need to do is touch down and plug in.
From Cali to Virginia
Let’s kick off on the US West Coast, where coworking in Sacramento takes on a whole new look in the Californian capital with Spaces R Street. Surrounded by retrofitted industrial buildings, this location provides a respite from the high-rises of downtown and a place that’s buzzing with potential. With the introduction of Spaces Playhouse District, coworking space in Pasadena is covered too – think art-deco offices, tip-top finishes and a ground-floor restaurant and you’ll have a pretty good idea of this Cali joint. As the only loft-office building in town, coworking in Virginia is taken care of with Spaces Tysons.
Europe’s calling
Over to Europe and first up is coworking in Switzerland with Spaces Suurstoffi in Risch-Rotkreuz. A one-of-a-kind construction, its location in the canton of Zug is a reminder that you don’t need to be in Basel or Zürich to feel in the centre of things – and the cascading greenery of the living wall is an equally important reminder that nature is never far away. Heading north to the Czech Republic and the ancient capital boasts a very modern addition. Coworking in Prague has just got a whole lot easier with the introduction of Spaces Nile House, on the edge of the Karlín waterfront in a transformed old industrial area. Set over two floors, the property also boasts a soaring atrium for all that blue-sky thinking. Back down to Austria and coworking space in Vienna is also going great with Spaces Square One. The bourgeois neighbourhood of Döbling, Vienna’s 19th district, is your stomping ground, and the Netagaya Park is (quite literally) your neck of the woods. Our final European destination this month is in Croatia, where coworking in Zagreb takes on a new sheen with the launch of Spaces Matrix. This fast office building is located in the capital’s fastest-growing new business district on Slavonska Avenue – and wouldn’t look out of place in a certain futuristic film trilogy.
Neighboring the Petronas Towers in KL
Next it’s over to Asia – Malaysia to be precise – and coworking space in Penang. Here, Spaces Beach Street occupies the historic Standard Chartered Building that was once the home of the Chartered Bank of India, China and Australia, and stands on one of the first streets in George Town – and at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site to boot. These days the building is fully tricked out with all the latest tech you need to run a modern business – just like every other Spaces around the world. Heading south to the country’s capital, coworking space in KL is well furnished with Spaces Menara Prestige. Occupying the 32nd floor of a state-of-the-art building that counts the famous Petronas Towers as a neighbour, the views of the Kualar Lumpur skyline from here cannot fail to inspire.
Oh, hello Oceania
And last – but certainly not least – we head for Oceania and the otherworldly beauty of New Zealand. Coworking space in Auckland is the order of the day at Spaces K-Road, where a thoughtfully designed building on the City Fringe provides the perfect location for flexwork, surrounded by all the amenities a modern professional expects from their business environment. Every Spaces (including this one) comes with super-fast Wi-Fi, the option of a virtual office (plus call-taking and mail-handling as part of the package), and more beautifully designed furniture that you’ll love be surrounded by. Each property is chosen for its unique aesthetic and proximity to transport links, and other city staples like restaurants and shops – yet each strives to be entirely of its own making (just like the people they serve).
All in all, that pretty much covers it for this month. And as we can imagine this might trigger your wanderlust, where will you be headed first, next year?
