A whole new year means a whole lot of New Year’s resolutions are in place. One of the most heard resolutions (besides getting in shape…) is venturing on something creative. Something new. Why not get started right here at Spaces? For the lucky ones in the Netherlands, we’ve got a new batch of Creative Meetups coming up, the first one starting as soon as January 24th. And it’s going to be a good one. The upcoming edition is all about the future of workspace trends and the many creative implications of AI.
Artificial Intelligence, real impact.
AI, or artificial intelligence, is something of which we’ve only just begun scratching the surface. And even though most 80s sci-fi flicks (or any season of Black Mirror) would have you believe otherwise, we can use it to benefit us all. We’ve mostly passed the stage of fearing a dystopian future filled with sentient robots that find humans obsolete, and in stead embraced the notion of a digitalised world that makes life easier.
It’s safe to say that the technology is here to stay. It has endless possibilities, an ability to decrease labour costs, and there’s an obvious superhuman level of intelligence we’ve yet to fully discover. But the best part? It can be used to make our lives so much safer, both online and offline. Which is why we’ve invited Microsoft’s expert on IoT, Big Data and AI , Nedim Arnautovic, to tell us how Microsoft currently uses AI to improve their business, but also what future implications they have got planned out.
Tomorrow starts today.
The second batch of speakers can predict the future. Or more accurately, they make predictions about future trends. Motivaction’s Pieter Paul Verheggen is the CEO of a company founded on facts, research and raw knowledge. Using their vast knowledge of the human brain, our behaviour, our motivations, and our lifestyles, they connect the dots to make accurate predictions of what will become fact and what will not.
The next speaker, Freshmark’s Mark Schipper uses a somewhat different approach towards making accurate predictions. They monitor closely and anticipate what’s going to happen before it happens. The trendwatching and consulting agency uses a holistic and intuitive approach, coupled with years of experience to establish a clear image of the present state of the market, the clientele, and a business’ trend susceptibility. By doing so, they can create an accurate prediction on how a business holds up in the future.
Our Creative Meetups are always something to look forward to, as they’re intended to connect professionals from all kinds of backgrounds. It doesn’t matter whether you’re into tech, arts, marketing or anything else, we all need each other sometimes. So don’t hesitate to check out the upcoming edition of Creative Meetup at Spaces Vijzelstraat on January 24th.
