Spaces is extending its footprint in Miami with a new location in Herzog & de Meuron’s famous ‘house of cards’ building in South Beach. As the trend for flexible workspace across Florida gains momentum, Spaces opens the doors of a new coworking space in the heart of Miami’s South Beach.
Connect with like-minded individuals
Formerly the Suntrust Bank Building, the ‘house of cards’ style structure was fully renovated in 2017. Now, the attractive block on a palm-lined street lets you enjoy an on-site swimming pool and an overall feeling of satisfaction. With around 95% of the building leased already, Spaces members will find themselves in the company of brands like Sony, Adidas, Ted Baker and Shake Shack, who also all have office space in the building.
The new Spaces location will be moments away from a host of stylish SoBe restaurants, independent and chain retailers, and entertainment venues like The Fillmore Miami Beach Theatre, while the recently revamped Miami Beach Convention Center is less than a mile away.
Miami’s (hustle) mentality
The hustle mentality in Miami, plus the great weather all year round, make it the perfect place for coworking. In the recent years, the demand for coworking spaces has really rocketed here. Major corporations like Apple and Facebook have opened satellite offices in the city, and South Florida as a whole has seen a flood of startup companies and entrepreneurs moving into the area looking for modern and flexible workspace where they can work, collaborate and get inspired.
A metropolitan house of cards
At this new Spaces location, you can combine business with the beach, since the ocean is never far. You can walk into a 51,064 square feet of creative office space at the landmark 1111 Lincoln in South Beach. Built in 2010 by the award-winning Swiss architect firm, Herzog & de Meuron – who also designed the Pérez Art Museum in Miami, London’s Tate Modern and the Vancouver Art Gallery. The latter being the striking seven-storey building on the corner of Alton and Lincoln Road is built in a Modernist style and has a total 146,000 square feet of space.
It also offers you the opportunity to meet open-minded professionals, innovative entrepreneurs and creative business thinkers. With a friendly staff who takes care of everything you need and makes you feel right at home.
When it opens its doors, the new Spaces at 1111 Lincoln will be the third major location in Miami this year. And as Spaces continues to expand its Florida footprint, the new complex will complement Spaces The Wynwood Cube, a cool and creative coworking space which opens in September in Miami’s hip Arts District.
