West side is the best side

With the opening of Spaces Westerpark in Amsterdam this autumn, we can definitely say that Spaces is all over the Dutch capital.  With locations in the south, east and city centre, it was only a matter of time before the West-side was added to our portfolio. Spaces Westerpark will be lucky number 7 in Amsterdam, which gives it a great head start already. And not just any part of Amsterdam-West but Westerpark, a thriving area that offers so many things for so many different people.

Go west

Spaces Westerpark will be directly located on the road that connects the city of Haarlem to Amsterdam, ending at Amsterdam Central Station, making the commute for Haarlemmers that much easier. Not only is this road an excellent connection, there are of course also a lot of more sustainable options like the bus and trams. But what if you are a commuter who wants to act like a local? Just go to Central Station, grab an OV-fiets (“public transport bike”) and cycle less than 10 minutes to your brand new inspiring workplace.

Around the block

Ok enough about how to get there, what about the area? Westerpark is thriving and it has been for quite some time. We can safely say that Westerpark is fairly established and located between  up and coming Bos en Lommer and the all time tourist fav’ Jordaan area. This offers a great urban mix from which the area definitely profits. What about the name though? Well, of course, there is the actual park which is very nice park just across the street. Westerpark is a long park that has enough spots to hang around in, have a picknick and get some exercise.  It’s also filled with nice places for food and drinks.  You can’t miss WESTERGAS, The Other District, in these renovated old factory buildings you can find an arthouse cinema, pub, restaurants, bakery and more.  A great place to wander after work for some downtime.
